Slackware 9.1
Slackware is the longest-running distribution of the Linux operating system. Slackware offers a stable and secure version of Linux that is perfect for home, office, or educational use. Slackware is easy for beginners to install, but contains all the advanced features required by the experienced UNIX power-user.
Changes: Support for the ALSA (Advanced Linux Sound
Architecture) was added, which will be the
default in the upcoming 2.6.x kernel series. GCC
3.2.3 was included (with GCC 3.3.1 as an
alternate choice) along with GNOME 2.4.0 and KDE
3.1.4. The stable 2.4.22 kernel is used, but the
distribution is ready for 2.6.x.

pydance 0.8.1
pydance is a dancing game written in Python, formerly named pyDDR. The
idea is simple. There’s a floor mat with arrows, and the game scrolls
arrows up the screen to the beat while playing a song. When the arrows
reach the top of the screen (not sooner and not later), the player
hits the corresponding arrow on the pad, and given that it’s hit on
time with the beat, points are scored. Based on how well the dance is
put together, s/he is graded at the end of the song. Both keyboard and
mat play are supported.
Changes: In this version, the scoring, combo counters, judging,
and regular or endless grading are now all selectable.
Brake and Boost work more as intended, and the shrink/
grow on hold arrows has been fixed. "Cycle" arrow fading
has been implemented. Lastly, "secret" arrows are in,
which are arrows that can’t be missed (however, you can
score poorly on them).
