We are happy to announce the availability of eZ Publish 4.1.0beta1. Several new features, enhancements and bug-fixes are in place. Updated versions of eZ Webin and eZ Flow are also available upon installation of this beta.
With the beta1 release, eZ Publish 4.1 is almost feature-complete. Some further refinements and additions will be made in the coming weeks.
I’ve used many years various Tag editors to maintain music files, so that they are treated correctly inside MediaPortal. I found myself using two different Tag Editors, because not every Tag Editor was supporting all the features I needed.
My main Tag Editor was ID3-Tagit (http://www.id3-tagit.de) . It worked prefectly for my needs, with two drawbacks. Only mp3 files are supported and it doesn’t support scripting to enhance functionality. Moreover the author has decided to discontinue development.
For editing file formats other than mp3, i was using The Godfather (http://users.forthnet.gr/the/jtclipper/) , but the development seems to be stalled there as well.

The past two weeks have flown by, and it’s time for another update on what’s been going on in the eZ Ecosystem. Most recently, we released the stable version of eZ Find 2.0, as well as a new maintenance version of the eZ Publish 4.0.x series.
