The first major update to gpEasy 2.0 is now available and ready for download. What started out as a minor update, we upgraded it to the 2.1 after being able to make a number of significant improvements.

In addition to making gpEasy better, we were able to also make it smaller. By removing unecessary files in third party packages and optimizing other areas, the zip package for 2.1 is now just 1.3MB compared to 1.7MB for 2.0.

New Features

A "Create New Page" link added to the admin toolbar.

Faster inline editor loading.

The website title and administrator email address can now be specified during installation.

Internet Explorer

Without going into why Internet Explorer gets it's own heading in an update (let's just say it's special in it's own way), it is worth noting that we found and fixed a number of bugs affectin the use of gpEasy in Internet Explorer.
